This time of year, blankets are needed to help us stay warm and cozy but knowing how to style throw blankets will make your home decor look warm and cozy too. Today I am sharing different ways you can decorate with blankets that can be easily grabbed to cover up on a cool winter night.

How to style throw blankets

Have you ever walked into a room and something about it looks so inviting? There are beautiful fluffy pillows, candles, and baskets, but I bet there is at least one blanket in the room.

To top off all this lovely decor, I feel the person who decorated this room knew just how to style throw blankets to make it look even more special.

How to Style Throw Blankets

There are many reasons why throws are necessary for your home decor. They provide warmth to friends and family, offer a new texture to your home decor, and give color to your space.

In this post, we will break down different ways you can style your blanket or throw options to consider when shopping.

How to Style Throw Blanket on a Couch

I am starting this, how to style throw blankets, with probably my all-time favorite, and that is hanging on the back of a sofa.

Back of sofa blanket

If you have a sofa where the back is showing, this is a great way to create visual interest, add style, texture, and color.

I like to change out this blanket by season and holiday. For example, here is a picture where I place a fall blanket on the back of my living room sofa when I was decorating for fall.

One thing to consider is if your sofa has attached cushions, then you may not be able to place a blanket draped over the back of your couch. However, if you have detached cushions, then here is a great styling method to hang a blanket on the back of your sofa.

How to Drape Throw on the Back of Sofa

Fold the throw in half. If it has fringe, make sure you fold it where the fringe comes together.

Find the center of the throw and place it on the center of the back of the sofa.

Tuck your blanket behind the cushions, ensuring the fringe hangs down on the bottom.

I love this idea! This is one of my favorite ways to style a throw blanket. The back of the couch or sofa goes from plain to decorative. It is a great way to add a new aesthetic to your space.

Consider changing the blanket for other holidays like Christmas. This year, we have a new blanket to add: a Hearth and Hand green and red plaid. It adds a gorgeous pop of color. They also have coordinating throw pillows. I will be sharing that soon in our Christmas post.

Now there is another way to style your throw on a sofa or a chair, and that is the toss method.

How to Drape a Blanket over a Sofa or Chair

How to style a blanket on the back of a sofa

Here is another excellent example of decorating with blankets on couches. After decorating our mantel for spring, I tossed a blanket over our sofa to add a cozy feeling to the decor.

This is an easy way to make your family room feel cozier. There is no right or wrong way to toss a throw over an upholstered piece of furniture, but here is my trick.

Pinch the center of the blanket and pull it up in the air.

Gently drape the throw over the back of the sofa or chair. Start at the seating area and drape it over the back if the back of the furniture is not showing into the main living area. If you see the piece of furniture's back when you walk into the room, consider reversing this step so that it drapes more over the back.

This cozy throw is perfect for this styling. This a great option for a more casual look. It makes me want to curl up under my blanket on a chilly day with a cup of tea and a good book.

Spring decorating ideas for your fireplace mantel

You can use this same concept on a bench too. In our entryway, we have an old wooden bench. I love to change the decor seasonally, as I did here with the pillows, blanket, and flowers.

Large wall clock in an entryway

Who would have guessed there is so much to say about draping a throw over a piece of furniture? LOL!

Next, let's talk about a decorative storage solution using a basket. I love decorating with wicker baskets.

How to Style Throw Blankets in Baskets

Basket decoration with blankets

Probably the most popular way to store blankets is in baskets. But have you ever thought about styling your throw in a basket? I love baskets! They make incredible decorations, just like blankets.

This is one of the easiest ways to style your throw blanket. To style your basket with a throw, toss the fabric into the basket and then drape it a little over the side.

You can fold and roll your coverings if you want a tidy look for your basket. If you want to hide your throw blankets purchase a storage container with a lid. This is an excellent idea if you have toys or other items you want to hide too.

How to Hang a Blanket

Next on our agenda is how to hang a blanket. If you install hooks in your home decor, you can easily hang a spread as a decoration, plus it is easy to grab to get warm and cozy.

In our kitchen, we have a sitting room. It's a good idea to change out the decorations for holidays and seasons on these hooks. In the summer, I use a thin lightweight throw on the hooks, but when fall and winter come, I go for something thicker and warmer.

French Market basket hanging on a wall with blanket hanging on a hook

The added blanket on the wall also adds texture and color to the decor. As you can tell, I change the blankets by season.

They're lovely decorative accents. See how it adds texture in the photo above, but I pulled in fall colors with this inexpensive Target dollar spot blanket in the photo below. We do not use it much in the summer, but it gets used quite often in the winter.

Here are more fall decorating ideas if you want to see how I decorated the rest of the room.

How to Style a Throw Blanket on a Bed

Just like sofas, there are two ways to style blankets on beds. The first idea is folding a blanket on the bottom portion of the bed. I used an accent throw in our small guest bedroom at the foot of the bed.

How to style a throw on a bed

Here is how I styled this blanket on my guest bed with one of my favorite throws.

Fold the blanket where the fringe, if it has fringe, is on the ends.

Place the blanket at the foot of the bed, evenly hanging down on the sides. Make sure the throw sets on the top of the bed.

How to style a comforter on the foot of a bed

If you have a comforter instead of a blanket, you can fold it and set it at the foot of your bed as I did here in my daughter's bedroom. This comforter is the perfect addition to create a layered look.

You can also toss a blanket or throw it on a bed, as we did in the sofa picture. As before, pinch it in the center and drape it on the bottom corner. Let the end drape off the bed.

How to Style Throw Blankets at Tables

When throwing a party or even a special dinner night for your family, add a blanket or throw to a bench as I did her when decorating for fall. This gives them a softer and warmer place to sit, and it looks inviting.

Styling a blanket on a dining table bench

In the next photo, when I was setting our vintage farmhouse Christmas table, I used what looks like a fur blanket on the bench but don't tell anyone; it is actually a rug. Wink wink!

I wanted to share this idea because there are so many beautiful faux fur throws you can purchase, which would look amazing on your bench. The soft texture of the improvised seat cushion will be welcomed by your guests.

How to style a fur blanket on a bench

If your event is outside, this is the perfect spot for a blanket because it can easily be pulled off the bench to be used.

How to decorate a bench with a throw blanket

Did you notice there is a blanket on the dining table used as a tablecloth? A little secret I love to share is being resourceful and using sheets, blankets, and other fabrics as tablecloths.

Using a throw blanket as a tablecloth

Do you recognize this blanket? It is the same throw on the bed in my guest bedroom. I used a white sheet on this table and then set the blanket on the table on a diagonal.

Since we are talking about using blankets as tablecloths, here is another example.

How to style a table with a blanket

For our Thanksgiving table last year, I used the blanket from the back of the sofa and draped it across the center of the table. Next, I added a drop cloth runner I made down the center, going the opposite direction, and then set a piece of chalk-painted wood on top. Who knew decorative blankets were so versatile?

Final Thoughts

Now that we have talked about how to style your decorative throws, here are some of my favorite places to shop for throws and blankets. TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Homegoods are great places to pick up blankets and throws to make your living space cozy. The quality is higher for a cheaper price.

I also like to shop at Target. They have trendy styles in different colors, which looks nice as a decoration, and they're usually machine washable.

Keep a throw or two in your main living areas and bedrooms. It is nice to have a couple of blankets for those cool winter nights, and it is a simple way to add layers and texture.

I almost forgot another idea that I do not use in my home and that is blanket ladders. If you have a place to hang a ladder, you can fold and drape your blankets over the steps. This makes a nice decoration and is very useful as a storage solution.

Now that we are finished decorating with blankets, where is your favorite place to buy blankets? Do you have a favorite blanket? What do you think is the best way to decorate with it?

Happy Decorating!

Today we are talking about how to clean wicker baskets. I will show you the best way to clean a vintage basket to remove years of build-up and what to use when cleaning a wicker basket.

How to clean wicker baskets that are old

Lately, vintage decorations have been the craze and baskets are an easy thing to decorate with and easy to find. But when you buy an old basket, you are purchasing other things that have been in contact with that basket like smoke and pet hair, to name a few. And your wicker basket will collect dust. Learning how to clean a wicker basket will extend its life and beauty.

So, if you buy a beautiful old vintage basket follow these steps on how to clean a basket to bring out its lovely color and remove any odors from the natural materials without any harsh chemicals.

This post contains affiliate links, meaning I receive a commission if you purchase using the links below at no extra cost to you. All opinions are all my own.

How to Clean Wicker Baskets

To begin here is a list of supplies you will need to clean your basket.

Shop Wicker Basket Cleaning Supplies:

As you can see you do not need many things to clean a basket but before we jump into the simple steps let's talk about what baskets you should not clean.

Can I Clean an Antique Basket?

If you have an old antique basket that is very special or precious to you then you might want to reconsider cleaning the basket with a lot of water.

This farm basket is an old basket I found at an antique store. It was used to pick fruit and vegetables on a local farm in my hometown. I love how vintage decorations have a story or history so when I found this basket in an antique store in my hometown I knew I wanted to handle it with care.

How to clean wicker baskets antique and thrifted

So today we are going to give it a bath and then wash another old basket I found at a thrift store. This will walk through the best way to clean antique or thrift baskets.

How to Clean an Antique Basket

Like I said before, this is an old picking basket which means it probably has lots of dirt and grime in between the layers. I want to bring it back as close to its original beauty without taking chances and damaging the wood.

First, I removed the heavier dust carefully with a clean Dollar Tree paintbrush or a soft brush would work, especially between the wicker weave and around the base of the basket.

Cleaning in a basket with clean dry paint brush

Next, I used a lint-free old dishtowel or soft cloth that is damp with water and started wiping it from the top down. Each time I noticed my towel looking dirty I cleaned it out and brushed the damp cloth over the wood again. Be sure not to use too much moisture. Continue until you've wiped down the entire piece.

How to clean an antique basket with soapy water and lint free cloth

Once I was finished, I left the basket set outside in the sun until it was completely dry.

This basket didn't necessarily get a deep clean but it is clean enough for display. Now let's talk about giving a wicker basket a deep cleaning.

How to Clean a Thrift Store Basket

Now let's talk about baskets that you care more about getting good and clean and less about saving them.

This small hanging basket I picked up at a thrift store. I bought it to hang in my garage over my woodworking table. It holds all my protective goggles and between spider webs and sawdust, it is one dirty wicker basket with a musty smell.

So, let's give this basket a deep cleaning because I want to hang it over my mantel. But before we dive in, I want to share that this method is for baskets that you don't have anything to lose in case it gets damaged. Meaning do not try this on a basket you really love and want to keep.

Two baskets ready to be cleaned

First, fill a tub or kitchen sink with gentle dishwashing liquid and clean water. I used Dawn dishwashing liquid.

If you want to bleach the color of the basket you can add bleach now. But if you simply wash it with detergent there is a good chance it will lighten a little naturally.

Add a 1/8 cup of bleach if you want to, otherwise, let's move forward with cleaning without bleach.

Now dust off your entire basket with a clean Dollar Tree paintbrush.

Next, dip the basket down into the bath of soapy water. Move it up and down a few times to let the water flow between the wicker fibers. Woven baskets can collect dust between the fibers.

How to wash a thrift store wicker basket

If you have really bad stains or grease of any kind on the wicker, use an old toothbrush or brush to clean between. For best results, it's a good idea to take special care and be very gentle because when the wicker gets wet it can be bent or moved easily.

Once you feel like the wicker is clean, rinse it off gently with clear water.

Cleaning a wicker basket by rinsing it with clear water after washing it with detergent

Final Steps for Cleaning your Wicker Baskets

Place it in the sun to air dry.

Sitting washed baskets out to dry in the sun

Now let's leave them in the sun for a couple of hours. Keep a watch on the weather outside just in case it decides to rain on you.

A couple of hours have passed so let's look at the two baskets.

Basket just washed and dry

Wow! Do you see what I see? After a thorough cleaning, the small basket got a lot brighter and lighter.

Freshly cleaned wicker baskets

The coloring got lighter from what it looked like in the beginning. I can imagine if I used bleach it would have lightened even more.

See how simple it is to clean baskets? Cleaning a basket isn't rocket science. These cleaning methods are simple and safe for your wicker baskets.

Final Thoughts

Now you might be wondering, can I clean wicker on chairs and outdoor furniture using this method? The answer is yes, but I would consider leaving out the bleach unless you want to bleach the wicker and take your chances damaging it.

You might also be wondering why I buy wicker baskets in thrift and antique stores. Well, different styles of baskets give so much character to any decorations. Wicker items are so versatile. The different types of wicker, colors, and textures add a lot of interest to your home decor.

Hanging basket on end of fireplace mantel filled with spring flowers of dogwood

I love using baskets in so many ways. Here are a few ideas for decorating with wicker baskets.

First, you can hang them on the front of a mantel as I did in the photo above. And you can hang them on walls like here in my tutorial on how to hang baskets on a wall.

Hang baskets on the wall

Here is another idea where I placed the basket we washed today above our mantel. Hanging a basket over and on a mantel is a fun and creative idea. If you need guidance on how to decorate a mantel, check out this tutorial on decorating a spring mantel.

Old vintage hanging basket over a fireplace mantel

Baskets look really pretty on top of bookcases or cabinets. I love adding larger baskets up high.

Displaying old baskets on top of a bookcase

These two baskets are fun because the large one is another basket from the antique store in my hometown. And the other smaller basket is brand new. It was a gift from my hubby for Mother's Day.

I share lots of other finds from thrift stores in my decorating from thrift stores post.

Even More Ways to use your Baskets

Here is another idea where I took a small basket and turned it into a pendant light. This DIY basket pendant light project is super easy and you can use all kinds of different baskets from old to new.

Hanging basket light

Another fun way to decorate with baskets is hanging a market basket on a hook. This is one of my favorite baskets. Fill it with fresh flowers daily or a few days at a time.

Doesn't that looks so pretty!!

French Market basket hanging on a wall

And last, probably the most important tip for decorating with baskets is storage. There are so many easy ways you can use baskets for storage.

Baskets for rainbow bedroom

Here is an example where we used baskets from the dollar store to decorate and use for storage in my niece's rainbow toddler girl bedroom. Here's a post with more ideas on how to decorate with wicker baskets.

You don't have to spend a lot on baskets. You can find them at thrift stores, flea markets, garage sales, and even Etsy is a popular choice. Also, for new baskets, shop in regular stores and dollar stores. We found the ones in my niece's bedroom at the Dollar General. If you take good care of your wicker baskets they will last a long time. If you want to change up the look of your basket, check out my post about how to paint wicker baskets.

Now that you know all about cleaning wicker baskets, I would love to hear about the basket you are planning to clean. Is it old or new and what story does it have behind it? Share in the comments.

Good luck and I cannot wait to hear all about it!

Happy Decorating!

Today we are talking about decorating from thrift stores. We will discuss what to look for and other tips on what not to buy. Plus I will show you how to decorate with thrift store finds.

Decorating with thrift store finds

For over 30 years I have been decorating from thrift stores. You might be asking why would I shop at second-hand stores, restores, and so on.

Well, you can find decorations in these stores that no one else has. And you can find things for cheap to use for decorations or give it a new look with spray paint. So keep an open mind when you hit your local thrift store and you'll be amazed at the unique pieces you can find.

I have this rule when decorating. Mix old and new, inexpensive and expensive to give a room character without breaking the bank.

Now that you know my secret let's do some shopping and decorate with vintage thrift store finds. These ideas will help you the next time you go shopping.

This post contains affiliate links, meaning I receive a commission if you purchase using the links below at no extra cost to you. All opinions are all my own.

Decorating from Thrift Stores

To begin here is a list of items to look for when shopping in thrift stores.

There are so many things you can look for when thrifting that you can use to decorate. And you can use thrift items for do-it-yourself projects too. Many of the pieces in my home will be items I found while shopping in second-hand stores or garage sales that I transformed to fit my decor style.

So, keep your eyes open when shopping and look for shapes and think about what they might look like in color or texture that matches your home's design. And also don't rule out antique stores or estate sales. Sometimes I find good deals on vintage pieces there, too.

Now let's get started shopping my home for ideas.

Thrift Store Books

Books are one of the easiest things to find in thrift shops and yard sales. They are versatile when decorating your home, there are so many different ways to use them. And they will come in handy when you need a decoration to be a little higher.

Decorating with vintage thrift store books

I used vintage books all over my house but here is one example where I show decorating a mantel for spring.

When shopping, if you see a pretty hardback book go ahead and buy it. You will be amazed at how many ways you can decorate with books. In fact, you will see books all through this post as we talk about other thrifted items.

Figurines and Statues from Thrift Stores

Decorating with thrifted statue

You can find so many adorable figurines when shopping at thrift stores. Look past the finish on them and consider spray painting them.

Thrifted dog statue

I have had this dog with his basket at my front door for years. He was one of my best finds. There is a spot just for him off to the side.

I love to add decorations to his basket for holidays as I did last autumn when I shared a fall front porch decorating idea. It is fun to decorate for holidays or simply place some flowers inside the basket.

Second-Hand Store Baskets

Old vintage hanging basket over a fireplace mantel

Baskets are another easy find at thrift stores. Before using a second hand wicker basket, check out my post on how to clean a wicker basket to give it a fresh start. Like books, baskets are a great piece to use when decorating. They add texture to your home decor which helps make all those solid surfaces feel cozier.

You can use baskets on bookcases, mantels and so much more. If you love your basket but want a different look, check out my post on how to paint a wicker basket. I love hanging wicker baskets around the house, too, as I did here on our mantel.

Basket full of white painted dollar store carved pumpkins and a fall blanket

Baskets are also great to use when decorating for holidays. I normally keep this old picnic basket on the bookcases in our dining room. But for this outdoor Halloween party, I used this basket to transport goods and then placed it on a chair for decorations.

Vintage Fabric and Linens

Tea party picnic with thrifted linens

One area that I am selective in when shopping in thrift stores is anything that has fabric on it. If I cannot bleach or sterilize it then I won't get it.

However, fabrics and linens are other great pieces to decorate with. I used an old vintage tea time tablecloth on the top of other blankets and tablecloths when we did a tea party picnic with my nieces.

Layered tea party picnic blankets and tablescloths

This teatime tablecloth actually belonged to my husband's mom but I see embroidered tablecloths all the time at thrift stores.

Thrift Store Clocks

Old clock from thrifted store

Clocks are another easy items to shop for when thrifting and they make wonderful decorations. Here is a photo of my mora clock. This piece came from an antique store in the UK that sent it to a store in America.

The whole story about this mora clock's journey is on my YouTube and on this antique mora clock post. But I wanted to share it to remind you that clocks are easy to decorate in your home. And they are easy to find when thrifting.

Restore Artwork

Vintage artwork found in a thrift store

If you really want to be unique in your home decor then look for old vintage artwork at thrift stores.

When decorating this antique vintage aesthetic bedroom my daughter found this piece of art in a local store. This store has booths rented by people who sell vintage and new items. There were many great finds that day like this wall decor.

Vintage or thrift shopping centers like these are a great way to shop for your home decor. After we got home we searched the internet and couldn't figure out anything about this piece except a printable you could purchase.

I would say we got a unique piece of art.

Thrift Store Old Windows

Decorating your mantel for spring

Windows are a hit-or-miss thrift store find. If you are looking for an old window to decorate with or to use for a DIY project look around at salvage yards where people drop off construction material.

Decorating with old windows is so much fun. Layer them on your mantel with art or use them for a DIY project like this mirror with shutters.

Decorating from thrift stores

Flee Market Candleholder

Candlestick holders on mantel

Candleholders can be pretty brass candlestick holders or vintage bottles and bases like we used on our man-in-the-moon Halloween mantel.

You can use candle holders to hold candles simply as a decoration without a candle. They look well staggered on books and sitting next to books.

Christmas candles on a mantel

I love to use them during the holidays in our decorations but they also sit out year-round with my everyday home decor items.

When shopping for used candle holders look at all the places I have mentioned and flea markets.

Vintage Crocks and Pots

Old vintage crock on a mantel for spring decorations

I seriously love crocks and pots to decorate with. It seems like thrifting crocks is a hit or miss. Sometimes I find them here and there and then I will go months without seeing one.

Old crocks can be pricey so if you find one at a garage sale for under 15 dollars, go ahead and grab it.

Also, look for galvanized buckets. They make for fun decorations as I did here on our front porch.

Galvanized bucket found while thrift shopping

You can use galvanized buckets like baskets. Simply place them around as a decoration, add flowers to them like I did on our Valentine porch decor ideas, or use them for storage.

Lamps

Vintage lamp

Here is one area where you can save and that is lamps. You will find lamps all over, from goodwill to garage sales and co-ops. Like so many thrifted items look past the ugly finish and think about what it will look like painted.

This milk glass lamp we found at a thrift store mall in our town. It didn't have a lampshade so that was the only thing we had to do to it.

Keep in mind when shopping for second-hand lamps to look at the cords carefully. Make sure there is no exposed wiring. I don't recommend using it if the wiring is damaged.

Chamber lamp or oil lamp found in a thrift store

Another great lamp to look for and decorate with is chamber lamps or oil lamps. They also look beautiful as a table centerpiece as I did here on our Thanksgiving table.

easy Thanksgiving fall tablescape

Mirrors

Old mirror found in a thrift store and painted white

Decorating with thrift store mirrors is easy. Look for large and small sizes.

I used this large mirror in our small bedroom to make it feel larger. I simply painted the frame a fresh creamy white color over a dark bronze color so it would match the room better. A little paint can change the whole feel of a piece.

End Tables

Antique table

Any furniture is good to look for when thrifting. Here is an end table we used between two chairs in our living room. This table is solid wood with a leather inlay on the top.

Old Benches

sisal rug with white bemcj

Decorating with thrift store benches is so fun. This bench in our entryway is actually a twin bed converted into a bench. I have to be honest and let you know that I rescued it from a friend who was going to trash it because the front feet had rotted but the rest of it was in good condition.

So I brought it home, gave it new feet, and a fresh coat of paint and now it lives in my entryway. It was the perfect piece in the perfect place.

PS: when we talk about chairs remember that the feet I used came from the chair.

Vintage bench made from twin beds

If you are handy with tools then consider buying a twin bed and making a bench like this one. Or, if you are lucky, maybe you can find one already made.

Our bench gets lots of seasonal and holiday decorations too like this spring farmhouse decor idea.

Chairs

Windsor chair thrifted and painted white with milk paint

Chairs are easy to find at thrift stores but the hard part is finding the number of chairs you will need that are identical. This Windsor chair I saved from the side of the road.

Thrifted white windsor chair painted white

I found two identical chairs but both were wounded. So I took the parts from one chair and repaired the other chair.

Then I painted it with milk paint and now I have the perfect desk chair in our guest room.

I have detailed instructions on how to paint with milk paint if you find a chair you love and want to paint it.

Buffet

Antique buffet

Finding the exact buffet you have envisioned for your home decor can be a challenge to find at thrift stores. But it can be done.

Here is our buffet which has a matching china cabinet. We didn't find ours at a thrift store but instead found it stored away at my mother-in-law's house. It was sitting behind a pile of other storage items in a storeroom.

So you might say shopping at relatives' houses is another form of thrifting. LOL!

China Cabinets and Hutch

Gold leaf heart garland

This is probably one of my favorite thrift store finds. Years ago when we added to our house I knew I wanted a hutch just like the one in the Andy Griffith show.

I would stop at every thrift store when traveling and one day while driving down to the coast, my daughter and I found this one in a thrift store. It's the perfect example of what you can find with a little patience.

Vintage inspired decor

This hutch has been very useful for storage and I love decorating it for holidays too by adding garlands like this handmade pom pom garland and handmade clay heart garland in the first photo.

Dining Tables from Used Furniture Stores

Vintage tables

We have two dining tables in our house. The one in the buffet photo is thrifted except for the chairs which came from my mother-in-law's house too.

But I wanted to show you this one because you can easily find this style in thrift stores. I see tables all the time and you can put mix-matched chairs with them and benches. Your table doesn't have to have matching dining room chairs.

Also, consider decorating your table with centerpieces, either holiday designs or everyday designs.

Bookcase from Thrift Stores

Bookcase filled with books for a cottagecore bedroom

Bookcases are another great find at thrift stores and also on the Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist. You can fill your bookcase with books or decorate them. We did a little of both in my niece's Cottagecore's decorated bedroom.

Decorating with Cutting Boards and Breadboards

Cutting board and bread board

I love decorating with second-hand cutting boards and breadboards. Also, consider cheese boards when shopping in thrift stores.

You can hang wooden boards for decorations as I did her. I added this metal silhouette to the front to make it more like a piece of art when I was sharing Cottagecore decor ideas.

Also, consider changing out the front decoration with holiday decor like a sprig of pine greenery at Christmas.

Decorating with Vintage Dishes

Vintage dishes

Dishes are easy to find when second-hand shopping and make for beautiful decorations. These vintage dishes are my grandma's but I find Currier and Ives dishes all the time in used stores.

Also, consider bringing new life to old dishes like this teacup candle I made from an old teacup.

Teacup candle made from thrift store tea cup

Pitchers

Decorating with pitchers is like decorating with crocks. Finding old handcrafted pitchers is such a treat and they add character to your home decor.

how to organize your kitchen

This salt-glazed handcrafted pitcher was found in an antique shop. I paid a little more than I usually would but it was the perfect piece to cozy up my kitchen and hold all my wooden spoons.

I share more photos of this in our kitchen and kitchen zone organizing. You will find other thrift store items to use when organizing.

Decorating with Old Vases

Vintage accessories on wall shelves

Really old vases make great decorations. Look on this shelf in my daughter's room at the tiny little amber glass vase. Little or large vintage vases can hold flowers or stand alone as a decoration.

Thrift Store Jars and Canisters Decorations

Jar of buttons and a mushroom sitting on top a stack of books

When decorating with thrift store items look for jars and canisters for storage or as a decoration like this mason jar filled with buttons.

There are so many things you can place inside jars to add to your home decor. Consider shells, buttons, old letters, and more.

Vintage Bottles to Decorate your Home

Vintage bottles and jars in front of a sea oil painting sitting on shelves

There are many ways you can decorate with thrift bottles. You can place them in a set like on this shelf. Fill them with potpourri or convert one to a candle holder.

Simply place a taper candle into the top of the jar. You may have to shave a little off around the bottom and twist it down to make it snug.

Once you have some bottles add them to your bookcases, and end tables and consider placing them on your dining table as a centerpiece.

Tray Decorating from Thrift Stores

Vintage tea party decorating ideas

Trayscaping is very popular now so add trays to your thrift store shopping list. You can use old trays for picnics as we did on our tea party picnic. Consider using them on coffee tables, your dining table, or as a decoration on your bed after you make it.

If you add one to your bed it will be useful when you get in bed and read. Especially if you don't have room for a nightstand.

They also look good hanging on walls like I did here over our range in our kitchen.

Thrift store tray decoration over a range

Vintage Architectural Pieces

Decorating with architectural pieces

Decorating with architectural pieces is a great way to add texture and an interesting story to your home decor. Look on the bottom shelf of this bookcase. This piece of decorative trim came from an old city hall that was demolished.

I bought this piece of trim in my favorite antique store in Franklin, North Carolina. City Farmhouse has lots of great finds. Kimberly, the owner, also has several great books on decorating with vintage decor. I share more about her book in my interior design books for beginners.

Light Fixtures

vintage light fixture

We have two rooms that have used light fixtures in our house. In our guest bathroom is an early 1900's light that came out of my grandma's house. In our foyer are two matching hanging lights, that I spray painted, that I found at second-hand stores.

The one that belonged to my grandma I had to have rewired because the wiring was not safe. Don't forget to check the wiring and have it replaced if it is damaged.

Wreaths

Paint colors at Life on Summerhill

I do not have much success finding good wreaths in thrift stores. But I do like to find things I can make wreaths out of like this child's bike wheel.

This project was much easier than it looks. Learn more about how to make a bicycle wheel wreath.

Holiday Decor

vintage farmhouse Christmas table decorations

As you probably already know, shopping in thrift stores for holiday decorations is a must. I find all kinds of pretty things I can use when decorating at Christmas and other holidays.

On our Christmas tablescape, I used an old toolbox to decorate the table. This centerpiece is so easy and I have all the details in this vintage farmhouse Christmas table post.

Thrift store jack o lanterns painted white and gold

Here is another example of using thrift store finds to decorate for Halloween. I used dollar store and thrift store Jack-o'-lanterns for this table. I share this DIY Halloween decoration using Jack-o'-lanterns on the blog also.

Conclusion

If you surf around my blog posts you will find loads and loads more thrift store decorating ideas. Remember thrift store finds will make your decorations look more interesting. With a little creativity they are also fun DIY projects and the best part is, most of the time they are cheap.

Give your home decor more character and add old vintage thrift store items to your decorations. They look so pretty next to new decorations. And don't forget about online thrifting like Facebook Marketplace and Craigslist.

Another place I often look for vintage items is Etsy or eBay. Most everything is shipped to you so figure in the shipping when you order.

Now it is your turn. Do you love thrifting? If so, what are your favorite thrift store finds? Happy shopping!

Large wall clocks are one of my favorite pieces of décor. While they are not appropriate for smaller spaces, in the right space a large wall clock can become a beautiful focal point or complement the focal point in your room. Whether you prefer contemporary designs, a minimalist look, or a vintage look like me, there are many options to find the large wall clock that fits your space.

Large wall clock decor ideas

I have a confession. I have a weakness for clocks and I love large wall clocks. They make great statement pieces all by themselves or work nicely with a wall collage. We have four wall clocks in our home with three of them within one area.

I like decorating with clocks so much that I wanted to share with you different ways you can decorate with them along with clocks you find in stores and online.

This post contains affiliate links, meaning I receive a commission if you purchase using the links below at no extra cost to you. All opinions are all my own.

Large Wall Clock Decor Ideas

Here is a list of places in your home you may consider for a large wall clock. Consider if you want your clock to be the main focus of the room or if you want it to complement the focal point of the room, the paint or wallpaper colors, and what the room is used for.

  • As a focal point in a room (This will be a large piece that you love and if it has a great story, even better!)
  • By the fireplace or over the mantle (Find a large clock that complements the finish and style of your fireplace)
  • In an entryway (Choose this piece with care, as it is the first thing people see when they enter your home)
  • The bedroom (Over a short headboard is a perfect place for a large clock. A sitting area works well, too)
  • Home office (There's no better place where you'll need to keep track of time so a large wall clock can be beautiful and practical)
  • Kitchens and bathrooms (If your kitchen or bathroom are ideal sizes for a large wall clock, consider one with a cover or waterproof finish)

Now before we break down into more detail how to decorate with them here are some beautiful clocks you can purchase to decorate your home.

Shop all these large wall clock decorations by simply tapping the image below.

Large Wall Clocks as the Focal Point

Large wall clocks can be a beautiful focal point in your room. When I found my antique Mora clock, I knew that I wanted it to be a centerpiece in my farmhouse cottage-style home.

By placing it between the dining room and living room, I knew this beautiful clock would get the attention it deserves. The classic design reflects our home decor perfectly. Read more about my antique Mora clock to hear more about its history.

Antique mora clock white

Here is a fun example of a repurposed bicycle metal frame turned into a large wall clock. Talk about a focal point!

You can also use a large wall clock as the center point of a collage of unique wall clocks. You can find old wall clocks at thrift stores or estate sales. The rustic antique brass and antique gold finishes stand out against the vintage clock faces.

The smaller clocks don’t need to be working, in fact, you might prefer they don’t to avoid overlapping ticking. But placed around your large clock, they make a beautiful collage. This could be a fun way to decorate a shiplap wall whether it's a rustic wood finished as pictured or a more polished finish. Here's how to make your own shiplap wall out of plywood.

Clock collage with large wall clock as center point

Large Wall Clocks as the Complement to the Focal Point

If you already have a focal point in the room, a decorative large wall clock can be an excellent complement to that focal point. For example, my living room has a beautiful white marble tiled fireplace so we selected a large vintage-style wall clock in white to place next to it.

The black roman numerals and arms provide a beautiful contrast. It was the perfect wall clock for this space.

Fireplace mantle in Sherwin Williams extra white SW 7006

Here is a fun example of a large wall clock that complements this beautiful sideboard with antique typewriter. This lovely metal wall clock ties the wall color and the vintage feel of the typewriter together without overwhelming the focal point. It's the perfect finishing touch.

Where to Put your Large Wall Clock

Entryways are also a great place to showcase your large wall clock. It is the first thing your guests see as they enter your home and set the tone for the rest of your home.

Large wall clock in an entryway

The bedroom is another good choice for a large wall clock placement. If you have a low headboard, you can place it over the bed or in the sitting area.

Large open wall spaces are perfect for a large wall clock. Between rooms, in a dining area, or in a home office are all great locations. You’ll want to avoid very long walls like hallways as the clock would look out of place. But if you have a large bare wall, an oversize wall clock could be the perfect solution.

Things to Remember when Selecting your Wall Clock

You’ll want to ensure your wall clock blends seamlessly with your wall color. Whether it’s paint or wallpaper, your wall color will provide contrast to your large wall clock. This is particularly important if your wall clock has cut-outs that show the wall color behind it.  Here is an example of a vintage style clock with cut-outs. Look how well it works with the wall color.

cream cut out wall clock

White on white can actually be a beautiful selection for your large wall clock. There are many subtle shades of white that can provide an understated contrast.

For example, our antique Mora clock and the wall it is presented against are both warm off-white but not an exact match. The Mora clock also provides a lovely texture to the room. Read more about our farmhouse paint colors at Life on Summerhill.

Large wall grandfather style mora clock

Keep in mind what happens around your clock as well as that can affect how often it needs to be cleaned, how you clean it, and how difficult it might be to do so.

For example, if you have a large wall clock in your kitchen, you may want to select one that has a cover on it to protect the mechanisms from grease. In our guest bathroom, we have a large wall clock that is vinyl with a mechanical center. This is easy to keep clean and won’t rust after steamy showers.

Guest bathroom paint color

Final Thoughts

A large wall clock can be a wonderful addition to any home décor style and at a wide variety of price points. You can find beautiful clocks at thrift stores, estate sales, big box stores, and specialty shops. They can become a statement piece in your home or complement a focal point.

Wall clocks are truly functional wall art. The most important thing to look for in a large wall clock is that it’s something that reflects your taste and the feeling you want to create in your home. Whether it’s vintage farmhouse style like me, a modern minimalist style, or something in-between, your large wall clock is the perfect way to personalize your home.

Vintage inspired decor is becoming more and more popular but you might be asking what is vintage decorations? Well, they are accessories, furniture and art inspiration from long ago. Basically reproductions of antiques.

Vintage inspired decor

When decorating your home, adding in vintage style decor will give your decorations more character. Blending old and new decorations can make your decor more interesting and less perfectly store-bought. With so many choices available, you can find vintage inspired pieces that work with most decor styles.

This post contains affiliate links, meaning I receive a commission if you purchase using the links below at no extra cost to you. All opinions are all my own.

Hitting your local antique shops for vintage treasures can be fun, but shopping for an old antique piece can be challenging which is why vintage decorations are so great. You don't have to wait and wait and wait or browse 100 antique stores to find that old mora clock or piece of art when you can find a vintage inspired piece easily online.

Here is a list of items you can look for when shopping for vintage pieces. Remember, look for vintage design reproduction pieces or anything that looks old but is actually new.

  • Furniture (look for different old styles like wingback chairs or farmhouse bench to name a few)
  • Vintage art (our favorite place to shop is Etsy. There are so many options from printables to upcycled pieces)
  • Pottery (look for anything that has an old finish on it like ironstone, wicker, stoneware)
  • Plants and wreaths (this is probably the easiest category to shop for but stick with varieties of plants people long ago would have had inside their homes. For example dried flowers and herbs are a great choice) Here is a cute vintage DIY using dried flowers.
  • Wooden boards (you cannot go wrong with a bread board, cheese board or butcher block)
  • Vintage style rugs (Rugs that look worn or have an old style pattern on them are perfect to give that vintage aesthetic)

Now that we have a few ideas to look for, let me make your life even simpler. We have pulled together a collection to make your online vintage shopping more fun.

Vintage Inspired Decor

Whenever I decorate I use old, new, expensive boutique and cheap accessories. Mixing vintage items with modern pieces is a simple way to build character in your home decor without spending a fortune. Here is an example from my coffee table where I used this vintage-inspired artificial plant with a homemade teacup candle.

Vintage decorations on a small end table.

This teacup is an antique along with the books. The antique teacup candle is an easy way to give old objects new life. Old books are great for adding warmth and dimension to your decor. But the chamber lamp was thrifted. I am not sure if it is an antique. Thrift store finds and flea markets are fantastic too because they are often one of a kind vintage finds.

So this collection is a combination of retail stores like Target, Etsy, and a new favorite online boutique called Elsie Green. You will love their European vintage online store. So many great choices!

So let's start looking at all the vintage decorations and think about what room would be a perfect fit for your vintage finds. In the end, I will give you more decorating suggestions for you vintage accessories.

Shop all these vintage-style decorations by simply tapping the image below.

There are so many wonderful ways you can decorate with these items. Pillows are great matched with bedding in any bedroom of your home. If you are wondering what makes these pillows vintage, well, it is the texture. Look for fabrics that were used long ago. Linen, cotton, wool, and so on were staples back in the day. The fabric doesn't have to be 100% natural fiber. It simply needs to look like it, giving your bed a vintage furniture look and feel.

Mora clocks are very old and originated in the village of Mora in Sweden. They have a great story behind them but they are hard to come by if you don't live in Europe. Lucky for us there are reproductions so you can create your ideal vintage living room. This mora clock will be a focal point and conversation piece in the main living areas. Read about my journey to finding an antique Mora clock and to hear more about its history. Clocks of all kinds can be wonderful decorations. Check out my post 9 Large Wall Clock Decor Ideas to Liven up your Home.

Vintage mora clock reproduction

The wreath and Anne of Green Gables art piece will look so cute together. I can see them hanging over a fireplace or anywhere in your home you want a vintage flair. Using quotes from vintage classic novels is another great way to create a vintage aesthetic. You could create a gallery wall mixing different styles of vintage wall art to create a vintage feel.

Anne of Green Gables quote vintage art

A while back I gave you Cottagecore decor ideas. Cottagecore decorations create a mood that will take you back in time. The room is filled with vintage period items. It is like a quantum leap when you walk into a room.

Are you starting to visualize all the options?

Last, I have fallen in love with this online store. This is where I recommend splurging a little extra to get that high-end look. Elsie Green has a beautiful shop filled with vintage-inspired antique-style decorations.

Vintage cheese boards

Can you see these gorgeous cheese boards hanging on a hook next to a stove? The beautiful old wood designs have “time gone by” written all over them for that vintage kitchen feel. They have many more boards like breadboards, furniture, and pottery with that beautiful vintage look.

From the living room to the home office, even the laundry room, the possibilities are endless. Vintage home decor is a simple way to let your home reflect your style.

Conclusion

So what do you think of this weeks vintage inspired ideas? Do you have a favorite? I would love to hear your good ideas in the comment below.

Thank you for stopping by for inspiration. Don't forget to go check out my Cottagecore post. It will give you more inspiration on how to decorate with vintage style decor. All these home decorations will fit perfectly into a vintage aesthetic. And if you need help decorating with old decor, then these tips on styling your hutch will be helpful.

Vintage inspired decorations on a hutch

Old hutches are a great place to fill up with thrift, antique, and vintage decor especially if you love collecting. You'd be surprised at the unique pieces you can find at an estate sale and yard sales. Everything on this hutch is old except for that basket in front. It is a reproduction of a french market basket. Did it fool you? Did you think it was old?

This basket looks very pretty in our french country farmhouse bedroom post. This is a surprising way to make your room look french.

See how fun it can be to decorate with new items that look old? Vintage decor ideas let you create a home that's uniquely you. Have fun and I hope you enjoy shopping to add vintage to your own home.

We can't wait to show you our favorite bench decorating ideas. No matter if you have a bench already at home or if you are planning on purchasing one, we want to show you inspiration on decorating with benches.

In this post, we don't want to just show you bench decorating ideas, but also where in your home is a great place to have a bench.

Gather your home decor together and let us show you how to arrange it on your bench to make it aesthetically pleasing.

This post contains affiliate links, meaning I receive a commission if you purchase using the links below at no extra cost to you. All opinions are all my own.

BENCH DECORATING IDEAS

Benches come in different shapes, sizes and are even made of different materials.

Knowing how to decorate a bench can be a challenge, but we want to take the guesswork out of the process.

WHERE SHOULD A BENCH BE PLACED IN A HOUSE?

Let's start with where should a bench be placed in a house. Because until you know the where, you don't know the how.

It is very popular to have a bench in your entry way. The perfect place to put on or take off your shoes before heading out or when coming home.

In a mudroom, under a window or in a living room for extra seating are other great options for a bench.

However, we can't just have an empty bench in our home. No! We need to make it look pretty! So let's look into ideas on decorating benches.

CHIPPY PAINTED ENTRYWAY BENCH

A pretty white bench in an entry way.

This beautiful chippy painted farmhouse style bench belongs to Malisa, from Purpose Driven Living Home.

Malisa has the bench decorated simply with a pillow, a hyacinth serving tray, a galvanized flower canister holding a sweet bouquet and some wooden beads.

OVERSIZED VASE WITH PAMPAS GRASS INSIDE ON A BENCH

A wooden bench styled with a blanket, pillow, basket, and tall vase.

Pampas grass is a trendy item to decorate with. It is a super neutral colored item and fills a vase, like this one on Deanna's bench.

A rust colored blanket, along with a tasseled pillow look great paired together on this bench.

MULTIPLE PILLOWS TO DECORATE A BENCH

A bench with pillows on it next to a book case.

Jessie, over at Jessie Thomas Designs, keeps her bench decor down to a few pillows.

It's a great idea to stick with the color scheme of the room or if you hang a picture over the bench, like she has.

One of the great things about pillows is you can change out the covers and create a whole new look for your bench.

FARMHOUSE BENCH WITH PILLOWS & AN INITIAL

A farmhouse bench sitting area.

These pillows look amazing on this bench with an initial. This is a great way to keep your bench comfy, yet personalize it.

Jess, from The Junq Drawer, has taken this otherwise dark bench and lightened it up with the cushion and pillows she added.

A CHUNKY BLANKET AND A BOOK USED AS BENCH DECOR

A black bench styled with a chunky throw blanket and books ad pillows.

Pillows, a chunky blanket and a good book are the perfect decor on Alysha's, at The Mtn. Blue Bird Co.,

She's created a great atmosphere that looks super cozy.

A FARMHOUSE BENCH WITH PILLOWS AND BOOKS TUCKED UNDERNEATH

A wooden bench storing books underneath.

Christy, from Brownies Forever Farmhouse, has set up a sweet nook with her farmhouse bench. The pillows scream farmhouse and look so comfy.

The way she has utilized underneath her bench to store some vintage books serves as decor as well.

DECORATED HALL TREE BENCH

A bench that doubles as a mud room storage.

A basket with some flowers and a cute hat make for great decor on a hall tree decorated bench!

This beauty was a DIY project that Emily, over at Lilies & Life, did. A genius set-up to help keep your family organized, but it still she's still pulled off decorating it.

EASTER DECOR ON A BENCH

A white bench that is used to decorate each holiday, here it's easter.

Stacey, from Wilshire Collections, has brought such adorable Easter decor to her bench.

The splashes of colors brought by the pillow and flowers are perfection. And don't miss out on the buffalo check that draws in the perfect amount of farmhouse.

FALL DECOR ON A FARMHOUSE BENCH

A farmhouse bench decorated for fall.

A white bench might be boring if you don't dress it up. However, it's the perfect item to dress up from season to season.

The fall decor Amy Fritz has added to her bench is enchanting. Pumpkins, real or artificial, make great decor pieces for a bench during the fall.

BUFFALO CHECK HALLOWEEN DECOR FOR A BENCH

A wooden bench decorated with a bolster pillow and halloween decor.

A bolster pillow is a genius idea for a bench. And to have it be one with a cute message makes it even better.

The neutral Halloween decor on Dawn's, from Family Love Home Decor, welcomes in the holiday with ease.

CHRISTMAS TREES ON A WOODEN BENCH

A pretty wooden bench with pillows a blanket and a few mini trees on it, perfect for Christmas.

The rustic decor on this Christmas bench looks amazing. Mini Christmas trees wrapped up in burlap add great texture to this decor.

This bench that Kristen, from Our Rustic Haven, has in her home looks a lot like the one we just made for our front porch fall decor.

OUR FALL PORCH DECOR & BENCH

Our DIY wooden bench with fall decor on it like pumpkins and a scarf.

The simple DIY bench was fun to make, but even more fun to decorate.

We enjoyed adding a rustic pitcher with wheat on top of it, as well as pumpkins and a scarf.

Check out our Fall Front Porch Decorating Ideas On A Budget for more fall porch decor ideas.

A NUTCRACKER, FLANNEL BLANKET, WREATH & MORE ON A CHRISTMASY BENCH

Our bench made from a a headboard and footboard styled for Christmas.

In our Keeping It Simple On This Christmas Home Tour post, we show our entryway and how we decorate our bench for the holidays.

A nutcracker, flannel blanket, mini wreath, candles and so much more warmed up this little area.

EVERYDAY DECOR ON AN ENTRYWAY BENCH

Another image of our bench but decorated with a DIY hassle blanket for summer.

When we added these yarn tassels on a blanket for a DIY, we knew the perfect place to drap this blanket was over our bench.

Pops of color, like our tassels, are fun on a neutral piece of furniture.

CAN YOU USE A COFFEE TABLE AS A BENCH?

If you've looked through this post and find yourself wondering if you can use a coffee table as a bench, the answer is yes.

Make sure you have a very sturdy coffee table that will hold the weight of someone sitting on it or let people know that it is just a decoration.

CONCLUSION

Bench decorating ideas have been so fun to share with you.

We hope you feel inspired and excited to dress up your bench or add one into your home.

Happy Decorating!

We are excited to share some amazing woven basket pendant light ideas for your home? Hanging basket lights are very popular right now! We wanted to answer some questions you might have like where you should hang a basket pendant light. The limits are endless as to where in your home a pendant light made from a basket will be stunning.

Recently we shared our guest bedroom makeover where we incorporated a DIY hanging basket light. What a fun project!

If you would rather purchase an already assembled woven basket pendant light, they are available and gorgeous. Either way, we totally support you adding a basket light into your home decor.

WOVEN BASKET PENDANT LIGHT

A woven basket pendant light belongs in so many different home styles. If you have a farmhouse, Scandinavian style home, boho decorated house, nautical home, or whatever your style, basket lights will only add greatness to your home.

Let us show you.

WHERE SHOULD HANGING PENDANT LIGHTS BE PLACED?

The answer to this question is simple. Anywhere and everywhere! There isn't a wrong room to hang your hanging pendant light. Especially when it's a woven basket pendant light.

Are you ready to take a tour of the possibilities?

A BASKET LIGHT FIXTURE IN AN ENTRYWAY

In the entryway of this home there is a hanging basket light fixture.

In the home of Tanya, from House of Six Interiors, there's a basket light fixture in her entryway.

It's a glorious way to great your guests.

HANGING A BASKET LIGHT IN THE KITCHEN

Here the hanging basket light fixture is hanging above the kitchen sink

Mari, at Burlap & Book Pages, invited us into her home in our Small Bathroom Ideas post.

Her house is so dreamy!

When we saw that she had a woven basket light hanging over her kitchen sink, we just knew you would want to see it.

A hanging pendant light belongs over a farmhouse sink, so why not a basket pendant light.

WHERE SHOULD PENDANT LIGHTS BE HUNG OVER AN ISLAND?

If you're looking for a general idea of how high above your kitchen island your pendant lights should hang, consider hanging them no lower than 28-36 inches above the countertop. This allows for good lighting and enough room for head clearance.

PENDANT BASKET LIGHTS OVER A KITCHEN ISLAND

Here the hanging basket light fixtures are above the kitchen island.

A favorite place that you will see basket pendant lights hanging, is over a kitchen island.

That's exactly where Cindy, over at The Vintage Road, has hung her's.

The woven baskets look great over her butcher block island countertop.

If you've questioned whether or not basket lights belong among sophisticated looking home decor; we think the home of Angela Lauren Living will answer that debate.

Over a granite-topped island, the light color of these hanging baskets is simply lovely.

MULTIPLE WOVEN BASKET PENDANTS ABOVE A KITCHEN ISLAND

Here there are 3 fixtures above the kitchen island.

Are you wondering how much room you should have between your basket pendants if you want to hang multiple?

It's a great idea to leave around 18 inches between each hanging light.

This is our friend Jenn's kitchen.

She not only has these great pendant lights made from hyacinth wastebaskets, but we can't wait to show you where else she has them!

BASKET CHANDELIER LIGHTING OVER A DINING TABLE

Here the hanging basket light fixture is a chandelier. The baskets are acting as shades.

Jenn shows how she made this chandelier in her blog post, DIY Basket Chandelier and Mini Spring Tour.

This transformation of an everyday chandelier will give you a new outlook on your old chandelier.

The different textures are lovely.

Here the hanging basket light fixture is over the dining room table.

Stacey, over at Tiny House Mama, has her dining table in her kitchen and has basket lights hanging there.

They look great paired with her retro fridge.

Basket pendant lights are perfect in her Victorian bungalow.

WHERE DO YOU HANG A LIVING ROOM PENDANT LIGHT?

Would you love to have a basket pendant light hanging in your living room? Even better, wouldn't you love to be able to work it into your seasonal decor? If you said yes to either questions, you're going to love these next basket lights.

This is such a fun idea that could be livened up seasonally.

WHERE DO YOU HANG BEDSIDE PENDANT LIGHTS?

Are you ready to see the perfect place for your woven basket pendant lights to be hung in your bedroom? They are simply dreamy over your bedside table and give off the perfect amount of light if you'd like to do some reading before turning in for the evening.

Here the hanging basket light fixture is hanging over the desk in a bedroom.

Our Easy DIY Basket Pendant Light post shows you how we created this beautiful light next to our guest bed.

You might be surprised to know that you may only need to order a pendant light kit for this great project.

HANGING PENDANT BASKET LIGHT OVER A BATHTUB

Here the hanging basket light fixture is over the bath tub.

Sometimes bathroom light can be harsh, but this pendant light that is hanging over Dani's bathtub, over at DIY Dani Girl, is stunning.

She did a budgeted bathroom renovation and you'll be happy to know this light fixture fit in that budget.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, we hope that you now adore woven basket pendant lights as much, if not more, than we do.

We'd love to hear where in your house you're thinking of hanging one or where you already have one hung. Please comment below!
