I am glad you asked! This Currier and Ives platter is plastic. It is not heavy so I used a good double-sided foam tape and stuck it to the tile. So far it has not fallen off and it has been up there for a couple of weeks.

I know how your daughter feels. My kitchen is exactly the way my mom unpacked it many years ago. I am really encouraged by your idea of organizing the spices. I am looking forward to giving that a try.

One thing that has helped little short me….I have rectangular plastic baskets (Walmart variety) that I have segregated spices in. One has baking, ‘sweet’ things in. Cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, etc. Also baking powder and soda and vanilla. The other basket is more savory things. It helps to just grab one basket and have all I need for that particular task.
