WHAT IS A CHRISTMAS WREATH?

Christmas Wreaths have significant meaning for the season. When you look up the definition this is what comes up and we love it!

Its unending shape represents eternity, for it has no beginning and no end. From a Christian religious perspective, it represents an unending circle of life.

The evergreen, most frequently used in making wreathes, symbolizes growth, and everlasting life. If that doesn't make you want to hang a Christmas wreath this season, not sure what would!

CHRISTMAS WREATHS

Christmas Wreaths have changed over the years. They are no longer just evergreen and holly with a bow. Even though that look is timeless. We love the imagination behind the idea of the wreath we've gathered together and think you will too.

Little House Whimsical Christmas Wreath

Holiday Wreath idea of branches, sticks, stars and a house
Life is a Party

Birch branches, Christmas greens, and a few coat hangers are a great base for this original Christmas wreath! Mod Podged book pages on wooden stars, a little glitter and a sweet little house make this homemade wreath so welcoming.

This piques my interest in what kind of party is happening that involves this wreath over at Life is a Party.

Repurposed Sweater Christmas Wreath

Jaime Costiglio

Repurposing is something we love to do and this Christmas wreath couldn't reinvent a sweater in a better way!

You read that right. Jaime took a couple of old sweaters and some other material and made rosettes for this rustic elegant wreath. This one will warm your heart this Christmas for sure.

Christmas Farmhouse Kitchen Wreath Idea

Miss Mustard Seed

Hanging a boxwood wreath above the range hood is inventive for Christmas for sure. There truly is nothing you need to add to this wreath.  When Miss Mustard Seed hung her's around the cow head (Julia) it shouted festively and we just had to make sure you didn't miss seeing it!

Watching how this wreath was transformed from a fall wreath to a sweet snow-kissed Christmas wreath is inspirational!

The rustic simple feel to this wreath makes it possible for almost anyone to replicate.  Hanging it on an old window gives off a nice farmhouse feel.

Plaid Whimsical Christmas Wreath Idea

Christmas Wreaths
The Happy Housie

This whimsical wreath makes us want to go Christmas caroling. “Let it Snow” is a song most Florida children have sung, but something they've never actually seen.

The Happy Housie wreath gives a beautiful glimpse into a snowy forest in northern states. We love it!

Rustic Sled Christmas Wreath

A Pop of Pretty Blog

Do you adore the sled on Kerri's at A Pop of Pretty Blog rustic Christmas wreath as much as we do? She added it to a wreath she had used the year before to give it a new feel. The ribbon and holly are a great contrast and pop of color to the wreath.

Homemade Rosemary Farmhouse Christmas Wreath

Life on Summerhill

Did you get the chance to check out our post on our Christmas entry that brings holiday cheer?

Making this fragrant rosemary holiday wreath was fun to create!

The bells remind us of the quote from the movie, It's a Wonderful Life, “Every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings.” Add a bell to your wreath this year and see if it doesn't help you get into the Christmas spirit!

CONCLUSION

We hope this gets your imagination jump-started and you're ready to go create a holiday wreath or add a little newness to a wreath you've used in years past. No matter if your Christmas wreath is whimsical, rustic, or elegant, hang it with pride on your front door, in your kitchen, or anywhere in your home.
