WHEN A FALL TABLE RUNNER IS STUNNING

When decorating a table for any occasion or just for a family dinner, starting with the right table runner is essential. A fall table runner can be stunning, and everything else you add to the table will be icing on the cake. Some of the table runners we came across are out of the box and breathtaking.

Choosing a table runner holiday appropriate can be a challenge, but it doesn't have to be. Some table runners have beautiful fabrics, some are woven tapestries, but we think we have some that will surprise you with the ingenuity behind them.

Fall Table Runner

Burlap and lace combine to make a gorgeous fall table runner.

This eye-catching centerpiece wouldn't be complicated to sew but could be made from special lace. Lace from a bridal veil, or grandma's wedding dress or an old tablecloth handed down from generations.

Baker Nest

Sometimes chilly fall days might give you inspiration for a table runner.

Cuddling up in a blanket, made of beautiful colors very well could be just that inspiration.

This plaid blanket Katie has used is cozy and astonishing.

This table runner catches your eyes because of the intricate layering.

The buri table runner with a flannel blanket folded on top makes the perfect base for a centerpiece.

Twinkling lights add a touch of romance to this fall tablescape.

Macrame is trending in significant ways right now. From wall decor, to plant hangers, to lamp accents and table runners, you can't go wrong with this look.

Some find it easy and relaxing to make their macrame, but if that isn't your cup of tea, you can purchase these beauties in different lengths and patterns.

You won't have to add much to these gorgeous fall table runners to look festive.

Mid Country Journal

Not much else says farmhouse decor like this striped ticking table runner. It's simple and might tie together your curtains, kitchen linens or maybe even your sofa pillows.

The muted colors allow you to add more pops of colors to your centerpiece but still capture so much beauty.

Kristine's stunning linen table runner has just the right amount of sparkle with its gold accents.

Your guests would for sure be dazzled by this tablescape.

Megan Ann McFarland

Howdy cowhide! This table thinks outside of the box for sure.

Bring the turkey to this table and serve it up on plates being held on guinea hen feathered chargers that add great contrast to the brown and white cowhide table runner.

Johnson FarmhouseFall Table Runner by Megan Charice Johnson window shudder

Tattered wooden shutters are the perfect rustic fall table runner.  We love to see salvaged pieces used in unexpected places.

This post is focused on table runners, but we couldn't help but adore the vintage books used as a plate charger.

Maybe you find out your guest's favorite book and use that as chargers. Or perhaps you use a dictionary (those are vintage for sure) and tear out the page you best feels defines your guest that will soon sit in that spot.

Life on Summerhill

Last but not least,  we wanted to remind you of our painter drop cloth ruffled table runner.

It was simple to make, but again there are some beauties out there you can get your hands on if you aren't able to sew.

Oh yes yes to all of these. Right now I have turquoise runner with orange and white pumpkin accents. My problem is always overloading and then there's no room for plates and silverware!!
